One of Australia's most distinguished pianists, Clemens Leske has been concerto soloist with all of Australia's symphony orchestras - Sydney, Melbourne, West Australian, Adelaide, Tasmanian, Queensland and Canberra Symphony Orchestras - under such conductors as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Spivakov and Tommy Tycho. His music studies took him to New York's Juilliard School, having won Australia's prestigious Young Performer Award, together with Australia Council and Hattori Foundation (London) funding.
Leske has performed in the UK, USA, Hungary, China, Thailand and in regular appearances with the Moscow Virtuosi, Australian String Quartet and Australian Chamber Orchestra. For his London Royal Festival Hall début he performed Rachmaninoff's 1st piano concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He appears courtesy of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he enjoys his research and teaching activities.
